In this official university correspondence from January 1965, Bucknell student B. R. Willeford responds to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s (1929-1968) letter about civil rights opportunities Bucknell students could assist with, such as voter registration drives in the south. Willeford also describes Bucknell's Committee on Educational Opportunity and congratulates Dr. King on winning the Nobel Peace Prize. (Bennett Willeford later holds the position of Professor of Chemistry at Bucknell from 1950-1984.)
