Description
This is an article from the 1963 YMCA (Young Men’s Christian Association) newsletter, “Cues,” that was saved by the Christian Association at Bucknell. The article gives a brief summary of the civil rights movement that is currently happening and outlines what campus associations can do to help the movement. The newsletter suggests five actions: 1- work on fair housing in your community, 2- help with voter registration, 3- develop tutor programs with local secondary schools, 4- eliminate discriminatory business practices and policies, and 5- encourage communication and educate the public.
